Hello everyone!

This week, we began Module 7. All Module assignments are due on Friday, 4/11, by 5 PM.

Tasks for Module 7

  • Attend our in-person sessions this week in the classroom (6117) to learn and analyze your data.
  • Complete Presentation 7 with the accompanying Scaffolded Notes 7. Submit by April 11.
  • Complete Quiz 7 and Forum 7 by April 11.
  • Review and complete the new Learn Gala case study and post-quiz.
  • Complete your Project Leadership reflection for this module.
  • Carefully review your personal feedback from your instructors to improve on your assignments.
  • Revise both your course projects after learning from new perspectives!
  • You will receive your peer review feedback for your Team Project!
  • You have analyzed previous BIT 295 students’ Public Science Projects and gained new ideas on enhancing your projects!

KBase Narratives

You made copies of our template Narrative and began analyzing the quality of the Illumina sequences we have. Please ensure we have edit access to your narrative, it is in the BIT 295 Sp25 Org, and has a descriptive name. We will upload more data and help check the processes. Avelina and Evan are helping and will continue to support teams.

Attendance and Lates

We want to emphasize the importance of attending class and lab sessions. Please review our attendance policy, which is stated in the syllabus. Lab sessions are critical for group work, and active learning sessions have a participation grade calculated via Woodclap (participation, not accuracy).

We continue providing feedback on each assignment.

Please let us know if you have any questions! Take care, and have a wonderful weekend!
