Module 7: Experimental Design
Hello everyone!
We begin Module 7 this week. All Module assignments are due this week on Friday, 4/11, by 5 PM.
In Module 7, we will learn about Experimental Design and apply it to our Team Project! We need to consider the experimental design to design experiments that produce useful data. In this module, we will discuss different elements of experimental design, create a testable hypothesis based on the evidence you have found, and design an experiment that you could test with existing bioinformatics resources.
Week 1:
- Attend our in-person sessions this week in the classroom (6117) to learn and analyze your data.
- Complete Presentation 7 with the accompanying Scaffolded Notes 7. Submit by April 11.
- Complete Quiz 7 and Forum 7 by April 11.
- Review and complete the new Learn Gala case study and post-quiz.
- Complete your Project Leadership reflection for this module.
- Carefully review your personal feedback from your instructors to improve on your assignments.
- Revise both your course projects after learning from new perspectives!
- You will receive your peer review feedback for your Team Project!
- You have analyzed previous BIT 295 students’ Public Science Projects and gained new ideas on enhancing your projects!
We look forward to analyzing our sequence data via KBase and 16S Sanger sequencing and to pursue more experimentation to learn about your bacterial species!
Take care, and have a wonderful week!
